We will destroy this place ![]() THE STORY OF SODOM'S destruction began with Yahweh Himself descending to earth with two angels to investigate what was happening in the vales of Siddim. In speaking with His servant Abraham, the LORD, “the Judge of all the earth” (Gen 18:25) said “Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous: I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know” (Gen 18:20). He would not destroy the cities if there were at least 10 righteous people in them. The account continues in Genesis 19 as follows:
The bible tells us that this utter destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities because of the sins of sexual perversions is “set forth for an example” to be visibly seen by all those “that after should live ungodly”(Jude 7, 2 Peter 2:6). God’s hot wrath against the evil practices of these cities has left its mark on the plains of Jordon surrounding the Dead Sea in the Middle East. Ashes still cover the areas today where these cities (Zeboim, Admah, Sodom, Gomorrah and Zoar) once stood, “the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass growth therein..” (Duet 29:22-24). God saw it as good to wipe these cities out, because of the abominations they practiced in their pride and idleness (Eze 16:49,50). He has not changed his view about Sodomy and has left a strong warning of His wrath against the gay/homosexual “pride” behaviour. The ruins of Sodom and Gomorrah today tell the story of a God who hates Sodomy. It is for you to repent, and be converted from these perverted values and allow the truth of Jesus Christ to govern your passions in all holiness. Amen. Ann-Marie it isn’t fact. The stories in the bible are written to support the Christian ideology and to teach its followers. Whatever creed one is it is a little terrifying that you are referring to allegory as fact.

This book made me cry. As a christian to see you condemn children, to support telling children what and who god hates, is sickening. Do you know the strength of that word? Hate. It is these kind of works and words that kill our children; who would rather die than live in a world that refuses to accept them and what they believe. You as a man may not agree or support LGBTQ rights and opinions, but to tell your children to enforce an exclusionary rule that is shaped by societies regulations and standards, not god's, then you sir are just contributing to a hateful society that refuses to coexist with each other's differences. A dress does not change your gender and when a child chooses to identify with the gender opposite of his/her biologically assigned gender, it is because society and christians told them that how they feel and what they want to wear, say, and sound can only be attributed to one gender. Instead of assigning genders to just humans you assign gender to clothes, and speech, and everything else. To now allow a child to grow up hating themself because a book you can never be certain is truly God wish, declared their chosen identity wrong. Jesus came to give us another chance at salvation and God gave his love to all of his children and it certainly didn't depend on whether they were wearing a dress or not. What if it had been Adam instead of Eve who wore a dress that day? Would he be any less of a man? I guess we will see who is right on judgement day.
